With Kanaa, Arunraja Kamaraja, who makes his perfect debut as a director and one of the leading actors in K’Town Sivakarthikeyan turns as a debut producer in the film. Both are hits the six at the first ball. Aishwarya Rajesh as Kausalya who delivered nuanced performance and lived in her role. The Cricket mannerism looks very realistic. The transformations from childhood age to middle age are very engaging.

Sathyaraj as Murugesan, who play as supportive father and farmer in the film. The emotional sequences are easily connecting with the audience and he delivered hard hitting dialogues in farming angle. The struggles of each and every farmer were shown exactly what’s happening in surroundings in the film.

Darshan makes a neat debut through this Kanaa and his innocent makes the character more enjoyable and had quirky dialogues to entertain us. Composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas songs are traverse along with the story. Background scores are the major highlight for this Kanna. Especially, the flute version of “Vaayadi Petha Pulla” and ” Othaiyadi Pathayila” are just soothing and pleasing to hear.

Sivakarthikeyan has done an important role in the film, not like a cameo, he took a part in the second half. He exposed powerful dialogues and his shaggy look is effective one as Cricket coach.

V2Cinemas Rating: 3.5/5

Verdict: An inspiring film to sports girls, on other hand, Arunraja Kamaraj gives us a social responsible film about farmers in the first ball.
