Plot: A man who gets face transplant (He gets Sakthi’s face played by Atharvaa.) after the fire accident. Rest of the story revolves around the mystery behind the face transplant.
Atharavaa Murali (Shiva) looks smart and outs his best. Sathish’s (Gopal) one-line comedies supports the film to not bore in the first half. Megha Akash looks pretty but, she hasn’t enough screen space to score. Following the smooth run Atharvaa getting trouble by some strangers, where he realizes the mystery behind after face transplant.
He wants to know about the mystery behind the face, and he sets out to Trichy along with Sathish, where they meet Indhuja (Tara) who narrates the Sakthi’s life. RJ Balaji (Shanmugam) who cares the comic portion and lends support to him in the second half. The rest of the story happens in a village and forms the crux. The film also stars Upen Patel as Suraj Patel and Suhasini Maniratnam as Gowri Thiruchelvan.
Director Kannan takes an interesting premise, but the execution process is too simple. Toting up, Boomerang is a watchable, entertaining film fused with a social message about farmer issues.
